I’m Fred, a designer and photographer based between London and Oxfordshire.

Inspired by the intricacies and irregularities of everyday life, I have a love of celebrating unnoticed and mundane details. My work aims to breathe new life into day-to-day interactions and intricacies that otherwise draw little attention.

Creative Platform

2024

We seem to see increasing pressure on artistic and creative industries on a global scale. The UK has seen financial cuts, cuts to arts in school curriculum, in creative university courses. Controversial bills passed on AI and further cuts are ever present in the news.

With growing uncertainty for artists and designers, assessing and supporting art is of utmost importance. In a bid to improve access and connections with artists, I came up with the fictional brand Creative Platform. Providing a space for interactions between commuters and artists, Creative Platform transforms some of our busiest spaces, train stations, into galleries.

With up to 5 million journeys a day, London has one of the busiest transport networks in the world. Already a hub for creative advertisement and product brands, Creative Platform aims to reclaim tube stations for artists and creatives, providing a platform to expose art to commuters and passengers utilising spaces as a frame for encouraging creativity.
